Granulation is a process that involves creating particles of desired size from materials of bigger size. Traditionally, a granulator was a name for any machine that could produce grain-sized output from a larger component. But now-a-days, the term “granulator” connotes different meanings for different industries, as the size that needs to be produced is completely different. Therefore, a granulator machine has a very specific purpose and merely saying that it is a size-reducing machine with grain-sized output, will be a gross injustice. It is quite different from a shredder machine or a grinder machine. A shredder machine cuts the feed into smaller pieces. A grinder machine chops or grinds the feed continuously to create dust-like powder.
